The Department of Computer Science invites you to their Open Day. Honours, Masters and Doctoral Students will be presenting their work and it will be a chance to find out about the research being done in the Department. The UCT Computer Science Department is one of the leading Research Departments in Computer Science in the country.
The presentations are geared towards Industry to show some of the practical research results that we have achieved and to High School Teachers and perhaps a few of their high flying students to show what can be done in Computer Science.
There will be posters and demonstrations of recently completed work and promising ongoing projects.
Projects cover the work in the five laboratories of the Department:
- Advanced Information Management
- Agents
- Collaborative Visual Computing
- Data Network Architectures
- High Performance Computing
