Facebook Coding Interview prep: 27th April 2016 (UCT CS 302 LT)
27th April was Freedom day in
South Africa.
Having no lectures for the day, the Women in Computer Science student society spent the day practicing
for coding interviews.
Facebook, one of the most selective tech companies fully sponsored the event. We had a total of 22 students attend (although we expected about 40).
We had two Facebook engineers and one recruiter demystify the whole recruitment process at Facebook, followed by a mock interview, tips and tricks. Thereafter lots of thoughtful questions were asked. With free lunch, swag, mentoring, there was no better way to spend the afternoon. Many left the room feeling confident they will crush their next technical interview.Thanks to Facebook.
