Dr Anne Kayem joins CS Department

Dr Anne Kayem obtained her PhD degree, in October 2008, from Queen's University in Kingston, ON, Canada, under the supervision of Prof. Selim G. Akl and Prof. Patrick Martin. Her PhD thesis was on "Adaptive Cryptographic Access Control for Dynamic Data Sharing Environments". From February 2009 up until April 2010, she worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), in Bremen, Germany. Her post-doctoral work was centered on "Security in Service Oriented Architectures". She currently is a senior lecturer at the Department of Computer Science in the University of Cape Town, and her primary research focus is on Access Control and Information Security.

We are very pleased to have Dr. Kayem as part of the Computer Science Department.
