Mark-John Burke awarded Erasmus Mundus scholarship

Mark-John Burke is a recipient of an Eramus Mundus scholarship for full degree students going on exchange study programmes at selected European Universities that have a collaboration with the University of Cape Town. He will be spending one semester at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium, in the 2013 year. The Katholieke Universiteit (KU) Leuven, is the largest and oldest university of the Low Countries and the oldest Catholic university still in existence. The Times Higher Education ranked the KU Leuven as the world's 67th best university (2011-2012) and ranks what The Guardian calls world's "super-elite" universities. KU will provide an ideal environment away from home where Mark enrich his thesis work through courses and interactions with other researchers working in his field.
