UCT CS teams placed 2nd and 3rd in SA Imagine Cup Game Dev Finals
The Imagine Cup is an international software design competition, sponsored
by Microsoft.
This year a game development session was included in the proceedings, along with a theme which all games needed to incorporate. The Department of Computer Science was invited to send the best 3 teams from their Game Development programme to compete in SA finals in Johannesburg. Two of these teams were placed in the top 3 of the competition:

Two of these teams were placed in the top 3 of the competition:
- Team ROM (Richard Pieterse, Ryan Mazzolini & Matthew Miller) were placed second, and
- Team SegFault (Kevin Brenkel, Walter Steenekamp and Cameron Nagel) were placed third.
