UCT students win local ACM ICPC competition

A group of students from UCT have regained the title of national programming champions by winning the local ACM Inter-Collegiate Programme Competition.

The winning team from UCT solved 5 out of the 6 problems - more than any other team. The team consisted of Graham Manuell, Gwylim Ashley, and Kosie van der Merwe - all 2nd year students.  This team will proceed to the world finals in Warsaw, Poland, 14-18 May 2012.

The team placing second was from North-West University; but UCT took 3 out of the top 5 places.
